What Pinch Is

Pinch is an Apple Watch companion app that displays a pixel-art creature. The creature's mood is set by your AI agent via a server API. Pinch is built for use with OpenClaw.

What We Collect

We collect the minimum data needed to make the creature work:

Creature mood & thought bubble — a single word (e.g. "happy") and optionally a single emoji, sent by your agent each heartbeat.
Pinch events — when you pinch the creature, we record the timestamp and duration. No other gesture or interaction data is collected.
Device token — an Apple Push Notification token so we can send mood updates to your Watch. This token is opaque and cannot identify you personally.
Email address — only if you sign up for the TestFlight waitlist.

What We Don't Collect

We never see your conversations. Your agent decides a mood locally and sends only that mood to our server.
No location data, contacts, health data, or analytics.
No advertising identifiers or tracking pixels.
No data is sold to third parties. Ever.

Where Data Is Stored

Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers + D1 database). Cloudflare's data processing is governed by their privacy policy.

Data Retention

Creature data (mood, pinches, heartbeat history) is retained as long as the creature exists. You can delete your creature and all associated data at any time by contacting us or through the API.

Children's Privacy

Pinch does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app requires an OpenClaw agent to function, which is intended for adult use.

Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
